Giving Back to the Community on
Giving Back Saturday
April 23rd 11 AM to 3 PM

Festivals of Life – Making a Difference. Our next event is Saturday, April 23rd from 11 AM to 3 PM.. It’s a free community event with fun and music to promote engaging our community in volunteer opportunities that benefit local organizations that use volunteers. Organizations will showcase information about themselves and how they are making a difference. There is no charge or fee to participate or attend.

Here are some of our partners who will be at the fair to meet you in person:

The benefit of volunteering at HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a two-way street. Current research indicates that volunteering is good for your health. People who volunteer live longer, function better and have lower rates of depression. For senior volunteers, the benefits are even more remarkable. But you don’t have to take our word for it, read The Health Benefits of Volunteering from the Corporation for National & Community Service.

Our dedicated volunteers truly are the heart of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee and their impact is simply amazing!

With so many critical programs impacting thousands in our community, there is a volunteer opportunity available for everyone!

Our volunteers consistently describe this as the best job they’ve ever had!

LECOM will be discussing their School of Dental Medicine. Their mission is to prepare students to become dentists through programs of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service to enhance the quality of life through improved health for all humanity.

Make a big impact in your community and join us in preventing and alleviating homelessness. Volunteers are vital to fulfilling the Turning Points mission. We need volunteers all year long to help us deliver services across all of our programs. We’re glad you are considering us for a rewarding, productive, and fun activity for you or your group, family, and friends! We’d love to have you join us whether it is for just a few hours a week or more, or for a specific one-time initiative.

Manatee County Habitat for Humanity transforms lives and communities by building and preserving affordable homes with families and by uniting all people around the cause of affordable housing.
